Unifarco - a company from Belluno that operates in the health and wellness sector in pharmacies with brands such as Ceramol, Biomalife and Dolomia - closed 2024 with a turnover of 182.9 million euro, up 10.5% compared to the previous year. Ebitda stood at EUR 27.7 million.

Double-digit growth in all European markets thanks to the export of its business model, adapted to the peculiarities of individual countries. In particular, the results of the community brand Farmacisti Preparatori and of the proprietary brands present abroad are worth highlighting, with growth in Spain of 21%, in Germany of 15.6%, in France - where the Unifarco France sales subsidiary was launched in 2024 - and Belgium of 18.1% and in Austria of 17.1%.

During the year, the numerous activities in the Research and Development area continued, also through collaborations with prestigious research bodies, with the aim of always proposing cutting-edge, safe and effective solutions so that pharmacists can take care of people by providing authoritative personalised advice and offering products and services with a high scientific value. In this regard, it should be noted that at a consolidated level, total investment in the scientific field exceeds 5 million Euro, equal to 2.9% of sales revenue.

With more than 6,500 customer pharmacies in Europe and around 360 member pharmacists, Unifarco is aiming for further growth with investments of EUR 16 million in 2024.

The main operations of the year include the start of construction work in the Gravazze (BL) area, of a state-of-the-art centre for inbound logistics management. In addition, during the year, structural and plant works began at the Santa Giustina (BL) site to expand the packaging department to increase production capacity and efficiency.

Also of note is the new auditorium project at the Villorba (TV) headquarters, capable of hosting numerous meetings with pharmacists, facilitating the organisation of events thanks to its large capacity and strategic location.

Unifarco - a Benefit Company since 2021 - has approved its consolidated Sustainability Report, testifying to its ongoing commitment to improve its performance while respecting the environment. During the year, it decreased its greenhouse gas emission intensity by 8.4% and its energy consumption intensity by 3.6%. The total amount of recycled plastic used for packaging and packaging increased by 85% compared to 2023.

Among the novelties is also a renewal of the composition of the Board of Directors and a redefinition of the top roles: Ernesto Riva will leave the Board of Directors and take on the role of honorary president and ambassador of Unifarco; Luigi Corvi will be the new president of the Board of Directors, into which Marco Riva, currently head of the purchasing office, will enter. While the new CEO will be Enea Borgioli. The Executive Committee, chaired by Massimo Slaviero, has also been set up with the aim of outlining the group's future strategic guidelines.
