Universities: dates set for entrance exams for degree programmes with restricted intake

The dates for the entrance examinations for degree programmes with nationally regulated intake quotas have been set for the 2026–2027 academic year. The selection calendar is available on the website of the Ministry of Universities and Research for degree programmes in Primary Education, for degree programmes leading directly to the qualification of Architect, for bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in the healthcare professions, and for degree programmes in Medicine and Surgery taught in English, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics taught in English, and Veterinary Medicine taught in English.

Selection tests for the Primary Education degree programmes are scheduled for Friday 11 September 2026. On Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September 2026, entrance exams are scheduled for the degree programmes in Healthcare Professions – taught in Italian and English respectively. For Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, and Veterinary Medicine – the programme taught in English – the entrance examination is scheduled for Wednesday 30 September 2026. On Monday 5 October (in Italian) and Wednesday 7 October 2026 (in English), the selection tests for the Master’s degree programmes in Health Professions will take place.

The date of the entrance examination for bachelor’s and single-cycle master’s degree programmes directly leading to the qualification of Architect is set by each university in its own call for applications and must take place by 30 September 2026. The procedures and content of the entrance examinations for Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, and Veterinary Medicine – taught in English – as well as for bachelor’s degree programmes in the healthcare professions and master’s degree programmes in the healthcare professions, will be set out in subsequent decrees.
