An acquisition in the sign of a further expansion of its offer. Unox, a company based in Cadoneghe (Padua) and leader in the design, production and sale of professional ovens for the catering, retail, pastry and bakery sectors - has acquired 100% of the capital of Roboqbo Srl, Bologna, the leading player in the design and production of systems for food and cosmetic processing.
A strategic step that reinforces the Group's objective of offering a complete ecosystem of technologies for the automated management of professional kitchens: in this way, integrating the consolidated range of intelligent multifunctional ovens with new robotic and advanced automation solutions capable of managing even cooking and preparation processes that cannot be performed in the oven.
Bolognese company
Roboqbo was founded in 1978 in Bentivoglio (Bologna). Over the years, it has become a recognised player in the design and production of automation systems for food and cosmetic processing, focusing on research and innovation. In 2024, it recorded a turnover of around 17 million euro and has around 120 employees.
THE Qbo Universal Processing System disrupts production processes in professional kitchens and pastry laboratories: a single unit is capable of performing processes that normally involve the use of several pieces of equipment - such as mixers, cutters, mincers, pasteurisers and pans - making production more efficient, precise, safe and repeatable.
Roboqbo's headquarters and activities will remain firmly rooted in Bentivoglio (BO), in the heart of Italy's Food Valley, where they will continue to develop and produce the solutions that have made the company a benchmark in the sector. "I have always led Roboqbo with the objective of bringing real innovation to professional kitchens, putting technology at the service of people," says founder Giuseppe Malavasi. "The uniqueness of Roboqbo's solutions stems from an intuition: to make automation technologies historically reserved for large food industries accessible to laboratories and catering professionals.
