US, former loyalist Taylor Greene resigns after clash with Trump over Epstein

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, once a fervent Maga supporter who became famous for her support of Donald Trump, has announced that she will resign from the US Congress on 5 January after a public clash with the president.

The Georgia Republican criticised the leadership of the political movement she once supported. Her relationship with Trump deteriorated after she joined the Democrats' demands for disclosure of the files on the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, which Trump initially opposed. Subsequently, the tycoon withdrew his support for Greene.
