US to UN condemn Russian Oreshnik missile launch in Ukraine

The US condemned Moscow's use of a nuclear-capable Oreshnik ballistic missile in Ukraine during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
Last week's deployment of the medium-range missile - which did not carry a nuclear warhead - 'constitutes a further dangerous and inexplicable escalation of this war, at a time when the United States is urgently working with Kiev, other partners and Moscow to end the conflict through a negotiated settlement,' US Deputy Ambassador to the UN, Tammy Bruce, told the Security Council.
