Vacchi buys the Hotel de la Poste in Cortina

Cortina Holding Srl – a company wholly owned by Alva Spa, which is controlled by Alberto Vacchi’s family – has acquired, from the Manaigo and Esposito families, the entire share capital of Hotel de la Poste Srl, the owner of the Hotel de la Poste of the same name.

Founded in 1804 in Cortina d’Ampezzo and situated in Piazza Roma, the Hotel de la Poste is one of the most iconic and historic hotels in this renowned resort in the Dolomites. Currently comprising 73 rooms, the hotel is set to undergo a major redevelopment and repositioning within the 5-star luxury segment, combining the building’s architectural heritage with a contemporary and international concept.
The proposed design envisages the creation of a facility comprising around 55 spacious rooms and suites, along with a range of services consistent with its luxury positioning. The project also includes the restoration of the historic Bar del Posta, two restaurants, a spa and spaces for private events.

Following the acquisition, the Board of Directors of Hotel de la Poste Srl, which will oversee the redevelopment of the Hotel de la Poste, will be chaired by Gregorio Minelli Vacchi, son of Alberto Vacchi, a graduate in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano, who has previously been involved in the restoration of family-owned properties. The hotel will remain open as usual until renovation work begins, and business continuity will be ensured in terms of both management and staff.
