Valditara: three billion for the new teachers' contract

"I asked and obtained that the school could have another 3 billion for the new teachers' contract, with an average increase of about 160 euro per month. Between last year (where, with the Ccnl signed, average increases of about 124 euros went to the teachers, ed.) and 2024 we are talking about almost 300 euros per month in total increases'. Thus the Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, at the Trento Festival of Economics.

"The school is fundamental and teachers must be socially recognised again, including guaranteeing them fair pay,' Valditara added. But we don't stop there: with the remedial teacher, the tutor teacher, the orientation teacher, the summer school, we give the possibility of further enriching remuneration'.

In the last C.C.M., the head of MIM continued, 'we approved highly inclusive regulations, for a school model that puts the student at the centre'. Today there are 85,000 support teachers without specialisation. 'The university world,' he specified, 'is not able to give specialisation to such significant masses of teachers. The idea is to involve Indire with a subsidiary role, to give specialisation to all the support teachers who lack it. Then we allowed the families to continue the relationship with support teachers to ensure teaching continuity'.
