For the third quarter of 2024, the forecasting survey conducted among Confindustria Valle d'Aosta member companies shows an improvement in the climate of confidence with several indicators showing a recovery. In the optimistic-pessimistic balance, employment goes from +10.20% in the second quarter to +22.92%. Strong improvement also for the possible recourse to the Cassa integrazione. Forecasts for production and new orders improved: for the former the optimist-pessimist balance rose from +23.40% in the second quarter to +39.58%, for the latter to +39.58% compared to +23.40%. "Companies are looking to the future with optimism thanks to their vocation for exports, the result of their stable presence in the manufacturing and services value chains," says the president of Confindustria Valle d'Aosta, Francesco Turcato. New orders for exports are almost stable on the previous quarter, while long-term forecasts improve. Investments are good, especially for manufacturing. The rate of capacity utilisation is changing positively. The average payment time is 50 days and 48 for the PA, which is improving. The number of enterprises reporting delays in collection is increasing.
