The challenge is crucial for increasing the competitiveness of the area: to make the province of Varese increasingly attractive to young people, workers and families.
This is the starting point for the Chamber of Commerce's call for tenders, which makes available vouchers with a net value of 2,000 euro per year, for a total of three years, to be used by persons under 40 who transfer their residence to the province of Varese after a new employment contract with a local company.
'We, like many other geographical areas, are grappling with phenomena that are in danger of becoming increasingly worrying,' explains the president, Mauro Vitiello. With this measure, we want to counter depopulation, reduce the mismatch between labour supply and demand, and contain the phenomenon of the flight of talent that affects us like the rest of Italy.
In addition, our province, which remains one of those with the highest entrepreneurial density and export capacity, also has to reckon with its proximity to Milan and the Swiss border: certainly, a factor that brings wealth but at the same time affects the labour market.
That is why, as part of the 'Vieni a vivere a Varese' project, in cooperation with the local authorities and the economic realities of the area, we wanted to create this call for proposals'.
