For the second time, after the previous one during the papacy of Francis, a woman will lead the Holy See's dicastery for communication. So chose Pope Leo XIV who wanted Maria Montserrat Alvarado, better known as Montse Alvarado. She is a laywoman, a journalist born in Mexico City but a US citizen since 2008, for the role of prefect of the dicastery for communication.
