Venezuela: IMF releases $346 million for post-earthquake reconstruction

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Venezuela has secured the release of $346 million from the International Monetary Fund to finance the reconstruction of the regions devastated by the twin earthquakes on 24 June. This was announced by the interim president, Delcy Rodriguez. According to a statement published on Telegram, the funds will be used in particular “to support families” affected by the disaster, through interventions in the sectors of housing, infrastructure and essential public services.
