Vittorio Cecchi Gori is in intensive care at the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome. This was revealed live this morning on Storie Italiane on Rai1 by presenter Eleonora Daniele. The businessman, former politician and film producer was reportedly hospitalised at the beginning of the week due to his worsening health condition. The Policlinico is keeping the utmost confidentiality, but according to rumours leaked by people close to Cecchi Gori, it seems that the clinical instability is very serious.

"Rita Rusic had been in touch with Prof. Landi because over the weekend Vittorio had been experiencing some ailments, with very low heart beats, and they had planned on Monday to have him admitted to hospital for checks; so it was lucky that he was already in hospital, but between Monday night and Tuesday morning there was a respiratory crisis that forced the doctors to transfer the entrepreneur to intensive care," said Angelo Perrone, Cecchi Gori's friend and historical collaborator. "Yesterday afternoon there were some signs of improvement, but the situation remains very delicate," he said in the Storie Italiane studio, "In the last few days he was even more burdened because he was denied a pardon, his biggest worry was the fact that he could not go to see Vittoria (his daughter) in Miami."

- 'I heard a little while ago from the doctor who follows him every day and he told me that Vittorio's condition is improving'. Valeria Marini, Vittorio Cecchi Gori's former partner, tells Adnkronos. 'They took him to intensive care for this respiratory failure and now he is under control,' the actress continued, 'but fortunately I heard his doctor and he seemed calmer, let's hope well, he is a strong man. If it is possible, I will visit him later,' she concludes.

Come on Vittorio you are great, you will make it''. This is the wish that Massimo Boldi entrusted to Adnkronos to his friend Vittorio Cecchi Gori, who is hospitalised at the Gemelli Hospital for a ''respiratory insufficiency''. ''I have made at least fifteen films with him,'' the actor recalls, ''I wish him to overcome every obstacle as he has done on other occasions,'' he concludes.
