The strength is the autonomy while the weakness is the price. The vivo x200 Fe will surprise you because with a 6,500 mAh battery it will allow you to remain without a charge for at least a day and a half, in some cases two full days. The price is in line with the hardware but requires confidence in a brand that is still consolidating in the European market. Vivo is a brand that despite its efforts and investments is not as popular in Italy as it is abroad. Its smartphones are a synthesis of quality engineering with a few leaps forward thanks to precise agreements such as the one with Zeiss. Those looking for a well-built device with versatile cameras and great autonomy can consider it a valid alternative, but the launch price - 849 euros - remains high compared to phones in the same range such as the Samsung Galaxy S25, the Google Pixel 9 and the iPhone 16.

What does it look like?

The vivo X200 FE is a compact smartphone with a 6.31-inch flat display, Zeiss Master Color panel, 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The casing measures 7.99 millimetres thick, weighs 186 grams and is IP68 and IP69 certified. The processor is the new MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ with 4+4 architecture and a 3.4 GHz main core, flanked by a 12-core GPU. Memory is 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

The camera compartment integrates a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.9 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 3x 50-megapixel ZEISS telephoto lens with optical stabilisation. The front camera is 50 megapixels. The audio is stereo, well balanced, with good bass response. The operating system is Android 15 with the Funtouch interface, a smooth and stable customisation with AI functionality.

How did the test go?

The display is bright, the main camera is fine but it is the telephoto lens that stands out in terms of quality and stabilisation while the wide-angle lens could be revised. The battery cpme we said is the strong point, because it is nice at the end of the day not to have to plug it in. Vivo, we recall, offers five years of guaranteed updates. This makes it a smartphone designed to last.
