Wagner Moura ('The Secret Agent')

The Oscar we would like but will hardly get: Michael B. Jordan is very likely to win in this category (Timothée Chalamet starts in second place), but if we could vote we would undoubtedly choose Wagner Moura for his simply devastating performance in Kleber Mendonça Filho's 'The Secret Agent'. Known for the 'Narcos' series and for his performances in several successful films, such as 'Tropa de Elite', the Brazilian actor really gave it his all in this latest feature, which probably won't bring him the statuette but which consigns him to the roll of honour of the best acting performances in New Millennium cinema.
