Wall Street: opens lower as tech stocks come under pressure; WTI crude oil rises (+2.9 per cent)
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Wall Street opened generally lower, with artificial intelligence-related shares coming under pressure again following yesterday’s largely positive trading session. The sharp rise in oil prices is also weighing on the market. At the start of trading, the Dow Jones is up 42.29 points (-+0.08 per cent), the S&P 500 is down 10.78 points (-0.14 per cent), whilst the Nasdaq was down 109.03 points (-0.41%). WTI crude on the NYMEX rose by 2.87% to $106.63 per barrel, due to Houthi attacks on Saudi infrastructure and reports of attacks on ships in the Gulf.
