Russian and Ukrainian attacks have claimed a total of seven lives on both sides of the border, according to local authorities. In Ukraine, two people were killed and eight injured when a missile struck a residential building in Odessa. “Among the victims is a woman who was walking in a park with some children at the time of the attack. The children survived and are receiving the necessary care,” the emergency services said.
In a subsequent attack on the nearby port city of Mykolaiv, another two people were killed on board a civilian vessel flying a foreign flag, whilst two other foreign vessels sustained damage, according to the local public prosecutor’s office.
Further south, in the city of Kherson – situated on the front line – a 70-year-old woman was killed and five other people, all elderly, were injured as a result of Russian attacks, according to the city’s military administration.
In Russia, a man has died after a drone struck his car in the Belgorod region, on the border with Ukraine; the news has been confirmed by the regional government.
Another person has been killed in a Ukrainian attack on Gorlivka, a town in eastern Ukraine under Russian control, according to Ivan Prikhodko, the governor appointed by Moscow.
