Way2Global pioneers of transparency on sustainable reporting

There are those who are born benefits and those who become benefits at some point in their corporate life. Among the Sustainability Leaders 2025 is Way2Global, a small Milanese translation services company with 2.8 million in revenue and twelve employees, which has been Sb since its foundation in 2017. The following year it became B Corp and has made sustainability its hallmark in two dimensions: within the company and in customer relations.

The reporting and transparency exercise does not scare the company, which has been voluntarily taking the path of sustainable reporting for a few years now: since 2021 it has been publishing the integrated report, and more recently it has been one of the pioneers in Italy in adopting the new Vsme standards for voluntary sustainability reporting for micro and SMEs, collaborating at an official level to test it for the first time. "The advantages of this choice under the banner of transparency," explains founder and CEO Laura Gori, "are undeniable: collecting data and information requires an in-depth assessment of business practices that can help identify areas for improvement and more effective strategies, reducing costs and increasing operational efficiency and resilience. It strengthens corporate reputation while also facilitating access to finance'. Now the company is also experimenting with measuring the new standards for B Corporations.

Way2Global is not only a pioneer, but also a facilitator of sustainability. It is no coincidence that among the fourteen impact goals in the integrated 2024 report that is about to be published, there is a clear desire to facilitate sustainable communication. 'Our core business,' Gori points out, 'is financial translation. Year after year we have specialised more and more in the translation of sustainability reporting in order to spread this culture in all our clients' target markets'. Another impactful aim is the happiness of employees: with the 'Anywhere office' project, the office is spread out, leaving the team the flexible management of working places and times.

On the environmental commitment front, Way2Global was one of the first 60 companies to join CO2 Coalition Italy by including climate neutrality among its corporate goals. "We do not limit ourselves", says Gori, "to measuring and offsetting our CO2 emissions, but we have involved our employees in energy efficiency, sustainable mobility and circular economy practices, and we have extended our green mission to the entire value chain (about eighty people including translators, interpreters and proofreaders) and to our suppliers and providers, inviting them to adopt our policies". Training is also central, with Way2Academy, the open education project to transform the great artificial intelligence revolution from a threat into an opportunity with a human face.
