We lose on the field, we win off it. With humility and new technical governance
The national team is a serious thing and is a powerful promotional vehicle for projecting attractiveness, organisational and planning skills, and seriousness

Alea iacta est: Luciano Spalletti therefore remains, at least until the next World Cup.
Demonstrating a leadership that the players on the pitch have not shown to possess, Federcalcio President Gravina made official the continuation of the mandate of Luciano Spalletti, who took office less than a year ago, immediately silencing those who demanded the resignation of the Tuscan coach.
This is a common-sense, pragmatic and timely decision, which allows continuity to the current project but, at the same time, also reshuffles the cards by programmatically entrusting a panel of five Serie A coaches (to be identified) with the responsibility of establishing a more intense confrontation with the clubs of the top division, also to identify the young players of national interest to be valorised. If the man alone in command has not worked properly, we must not throw the baby out with the bathwater, starting over and undoing the little good that has been done so far: it is necessary to bring more technical expertise to Club Italia, which knows how to find, energetically and without delay, the tangle of the tangle, healing the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the "Spallettian" management, as they have been manifested in Germany.
.
Politically, a brilliant castling, sportingly, we shall see.
Let us try, therefore, to summarise some basic principles by which the new course should be inspired, starting with the shortcomings most glaringly highlighted in the four recent releases of our 'heroes'.
First the choice of players
.It is certainly necessary to select a group that constitutes the main backbone of the team (the 'Block' from which to start) and obviously the dominant group of the moment will be chosen, the one that has, most recently, demonstrated cohesion, harmony, and a winning mentality (the most precious asset).
Once this preliminary choice has been made, this block must never be 'touched', except by injuries to its members. One should never 'mess' with the 'sacred' block and above all never fall into the temptation of assuming one can improve it. That is. It is a block: granitic and untouchable. It is like the chemical formula of sodium chloride (39.337% sodium and 60.663% chlorine by weight) that cannot be changed, not even in the slightest, on pain of disaster. You don't change the pattern the block is used to playing with, you don't change roles, you don't rewrite tasks. 'If it ain't broken don't fix it', goes an old popular American adage. It also applies in sport. In football, that wisdom translates, roughly, as '(piece of) the winning team doesn't change' and you don't touch it.
