Webuild, the Italian construction group, is strengthening in Australia with its Australian subsidiary Clough. It increases the number of infrastructure projects the group is building in the country to contribute to sustainable mobility.

.The latest award of the AUD$1.7 billion (around EUR1 billion) contract to build the 'Tunnels North' lot of the suburban rail loop east, which will transform Melbourne's public transport, has confirmed the 'confidence that the country's customers place in the group and its ability to responsibly manage complex projects, together with the world's largest companies, to support customers in transforming Melbourne's public transport infrastructure with a view to sustainability,' a note explained.
The weight of the country for the company
.Australia is now the most important non-domestic market for the PIetro Salini-led group, with an order book of EUR 10.4 billion (June 2024).
At Piazza Affari, the Webuild share rose 1.2 per cent to EUR 2.6.
