Wine Paris kicks off, Italian wineries quadruple space in six editions
Italia is confirmed as the second most represented country with 1,350 exhibitors, 130 of which are gathered in the collective exhibition organised by Ice-Agenzia
With 6,000 exhibitors and 60,000 professional operators from 155 countries, Wine Paris 2026 opened in Paris and Italia is the second most represented country with about 1,350 total exhibitors, 130 of which are gathered in the collective exhibition organised by Ice-Agenzia.
Since 2019, the exhibition area dedicated to Italian wineries has quadrupled, and the 2026 edition announces a further leap forward, with a total area of 12 thousand square metres (+25% compared to 2025). This result firmly positions Italia as the second most represented country at the fair after France.
The Italia wine system presents itself united in the land of France to enhance the indissoluble bond between territory, quality and sustainability. Inaugurating the Italia Pavilionthe Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, accompanied by the Ambassador of Italy to France, Emanuela D'Alessandro, and the President of Agenzia Ice, Matteo Zoppas.
"The great participation of Italian companies at Wine Paris 2026 demonstrates the sector's desire to look to the future with commitment and optimism. Our wines, our spirits, and our distillates are excellences that preserve our tradition without ever ceasing to innovate to meet the favour of more and more people who want to buy Italian. The ministry, together with Ice, which I thank, is at the side of entrepreneurs in the effort to promote our products in order to conquer new markets and consolidate our position where we are already present," said the minister.
The collective curated by Ice-Agenzia offers an overview of the national wine heritage, placing the most innovative emerging realities alongside the great historical names. "In 2024, Italian wine exceeded 8 billion euros in exports, confirming its role as ambassador par excellence in its commitment to promoting the identity of Made in Italia throughout the world," commented Zoppas.
