An order worth about EUR 500,000 for the supply of large-format Additive Manufacturing systems to a major Italian company active in the Defence and Aerospace sector, through its subsidiary Energy Group Srl, and the entry of the subsidiary Due Pi Greco into the Veneto Regional Innovative Network (Rir) Aerospace.

These are the novelties of SolidWorld Group, a Treviso-based company listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market and the parent company of a leading group in the sectors of industrial design and 3D printing technologies, 3D bio-fabrication, and production lines for latest-generation photovoltaic panel manufacturing machinery. Two moves that represent a strategic step for the Group in the Aerospace and Defence sector, strengthening the innovative technology hub created in 2024 to support the strategy launched last year. In particular, the technological pole stands out for its high level of expertise in the design, engineering and 3D printing of high-performance industrial components, positioning the Group among the few Italian companies capable of producing Defence and Aerospace components with high-performance technopolymers, thanks to the use of advanced 3D printing technologies. Components made with engineering polymers, particularly carbon, and through 3D printing systems, offer significant advantages: high structural strength and a weight 60-70% lower than components produced with traditional materials and technologies, making them particularly suitable for use in the Aerospace and Defence sectors.

For the President of SolidWorld Group, Roberto Rizzo, 'The sector is growing rapidly and 3D printing, already widely adopted in the automotive industry, is also taking on an increasingly central role in the defence and aerospace sectors. Thanks to its ability to reduce component production times and to integrate state-of-the-art materials, techniques and technologies, Additive Manufacturing is revolutionising the industry. Entering this market represents a strategic milestone for our Group: we can significantly contribute to the innovation of the entire Aerospace and Defence manufacturing chain, thanks to the use of advanced 3D printing technologies and high-performance materials, which allow us to offer increasingly efficient and sustainable solutions.
