With the 'Docsity AI' app, artificial intelligence enters the heart of the studio
The app, available on iOS and Android, has been developed to facilitate the acquisition of all kinds of learning material (audio, photos, videos, lectures, charts, notes) and its transformation into study material through the use of AI
At a time when artificial intelligence is also changing the way we study and learn, whether in a high school classroom or a crowded university lecture hall, Docsity, the collaborative learning platform founded by Riccardo Ocleppo and used by millions of students worldwide, is launching its innovative Docsity AI app. Thanks to this new tool, integrated with the platform's functionalities, the study experience becomes more fluid and engaging.
Already available
Docsity AI, already available on iOS and Android, is a further step in Docsity's mission to make studying more accessible, interactive and personalised through the application of artificial intelligence tools. It is in fact a single app that captures, organises and transforms into study tools all the materials that revolve around school and university life - from classroom lectures to online videos, from handwritten notes to digital documents. Not just a practical tool, but a true everyday ally for those who want to learn in an easier, faster and more personalised way.
Help to simplify
Studying today means moving between face-to-face and online lectures, scattered notes, videos and learning materials of all kinds. But it also means moving between different study locations: from the metro to libraries, from study rooms to one's own room. Docsity AI was created precisely to transform this heterogeneity of media into a simpler and intuitively organisable path. With just a few gestures, the student can record a lesson, scan a page of a lecture, upload a document or a link from YouTube: the app, thanks to artificial intelligence, processes the material - audio recordings, videos, links, images, documents (pdf, Word, txt, Excel) - and returns it in forms that are immediately usable, such as clear transcripts, summaries, interactive concept maps, notes and even customised flashcards to simulate questions and exams. It is not just about speeding up study, but making it more manageable thanks to smart technology in the service of learning.
The path
Docsity AI was not born out of nothing: it is the fruit of a year of listening and discussion with the community that had already experimented with the web version, launched in 2023 and now totally renewed. Reviews, suggestions and analyses of use have traced the path towards an intuitive and powerful mobile app, designed to accompany students in their study needs and in the variety of ways in which they now find themselves absorbing knowledge and skills for what will be the work of their future. Not only easy to use, but also inclusive: thanks to the collaboration with tutors and specialised teachers, the app is designed to be truly accessible, with functions that support those with ADHD or DSA, so as to make studying effective for everyone.
"Artificial intelligence as an ally"
"With Docsity AI we want to show that artificial intelligence is not a substitute for the student, but an ally capable of simplifying and optimising the learning process. The goal that has always guided us is to put technology at the service of people: to help students organise their time better, to focus on fundamental concepts and to experience studying in a more serene and effective way. In this sense, AI becomes an integral part of the everyday life of the student of 2025, supporting their abilities and making learning more accessible, personalised and stimulating,' said Paolo Muoio, COO of Docsity.
