Woman stabbed in Varese, 80-year-old husband arrested

An 81-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Via Pezza in Mesenzana, in the province of Varese, having been hit with several stab wounds this afternoon. When the 118 staff arrived on the scene, there was nothing left for the elderly woman to do. The alarm was reportedly raised by neighbours who saw the husband shouting in front of the house and who was stopped by the carabinieri of the Luino company. It would have been him who had attacked his wife, killing her before leaving the house screaming. The man was taken to the barracks at the disposal of the judicial authorities. The area has been cordoned off and the investigators are carrying out all the necessary investigations. In the same street, Andrea Rossin had stabbed his two children Giada and Alessio, aged 13 and 7, in March 2023, before taking his own life.
