A new brand, born as an offshoot of the family business to explore all the opportunities of digitisation.
Meanswood of Isola Rizza (Verona) was born when Tommaso Tambara returned from an experience abroad with the desire to commit himself, together with his sister, to a new bet: wooden objects for fitness and the practice of yoga, which is practised in the family by his mother, made with the experience of traditional craftsmanship and sold all over the world. "We started with the company website and a single product. Then I decided to delve into the use of sales platforms. I took a lot of courses and watched every possible video on youtube to learn the techniques of online sales," explains the 28-year-old surveyor. When we had been selling for a couple of years, we were contacted directly by Amazon for the Made in Italy page and from there we received a lot of information on how to handle orders, returns, any problems with customers'.
Today, Meanswood's products reach all over Europe and have multiplied: from the meditation bench to the weight rack, "and customer reviews reward us: the quality of the hand-crafted wood makes objects that are easy to find in plastic much more cared for and able to fit into the home decor. Positive comments from buyers are decisive in multiplying trust and demand'. Today, sales in the German market alone substantially equal those in Italy, "and the next goal is to sell in the USA. We manage everything, from canning to shipping to customer service. There is no one person dedicated solely to this task: we just learn. Our goal is to add new products and reach new markets, including Australia'.
