World premiere of Animal Treasure Island at Gardaland

Animal Treasure Island, the new attraction conceived by Merlin Magic Making, the creative studios of Merlin Entertainments and designed for an international development in the parks of the English giant bought in 2019 for 6.6 billion euro by Lego, will make its world debut at Gardaland next year. "We are proud that Merlin has chosen Italy and Gardaland for the launch of Animal Treasure Island - says Sabrina de Carvalho, managing director of Gardaland - It will be a new and immersive experience suitable for everyone, characterised by an adventurous spirit and a majestic and captivating setting".

The attraction will be for families and will offer a unique and exclusive adventure inside an entirely underground water dark ride that will occupy an area of 6 thousand square metres with twenty new highly immersive scenes. "Animal Treasure Island is part of an international roll out project of Merlin Entertainments, which plans to replicate the experience - after its inauguration at Gardaland in 2025 - in other parks of the group - anticipates Sabrina de Carvalho, CEO of Gardaland - We are certain that our visitors will appreciate this new iconic experience based on an adventurous story full of twists and turns, thanks also to the many new and original characters created by Merlin Studios to involve our guests in a truly immersive experience".

10 million will be invested to create Animal Treasure and the area used will be the one occupied by "The Corsairs", a historical attraction opened in 1992 and then updated in 2018 with the title "The Corsairs: the ghost's revenge". In Animal Treasure Island the protagonists will stage the classic struggle between good and evil intertwined with the events of a treasure hunt in an adventure full of pathos. Next year will also see the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Gardaland Resort.
