Record-breaking Xiaomi SU7: covered 4,264 km in 24 hours

The challenge for technological supremacy between the Chinese electric giants has moved to the track. In an extreme 24-hour endurance test, the updated version of the Xiaomi SU7 covered 4,264 km, surpassing the previous record held by rival Xpeng P7 (3,961 km) and setting a new benchmark for reliability and thermal management under continuous stress.

The test, which took place on an oval track in Yancheng, East China's Jiangsu Province, put the batteries and engines of the freshly restyled Max sedan to the test. The Xiaomi SU7 thus set a new record for production cars. During the test, the car reached a top speed of 240 km/h, maintaining it for long stretches, and for 24 hours it never stopped, except for stops to recharge the battery.
