Xiaomi unveiled the new Xiaomi 17 Series at the MWC show in Barcelona, showcasing the Chinese brand's latest advances in mobile technology. A selection of new products and accessories were also unveiled, including the Xiaomi Scooter 6 Series and Xiaomi Watch 5, further expanding Xiaomi's connected ecosystem. Demonstrating the Chinese brand's ambition in terms of design, Xiaomi also unveiled the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, a hypercar concept that continues the collaboration with Gran Turismo 7 and Polyphony Digital Inc.
It adds to a virtual collection of dream cars
Xiaomi has unveiled its first hypercar for the renowned car racing simulation platform. At the invitation of Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the Gran Turismo series, Xiaomi joins the Vision Gran Turismo project, becoming the first technology brand to contribute to the virtual collection of dream cars created by the world's most visionary carmakers. With the launch of the concept car, the Chinese brand confirmed that it is the 36th brand to join the project and the 51st Vision Gran Turismo concept car created for the series.
An unprecedented style that adds to other virtual innovations
Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo is a wind-sculpted electric hypercar concept. The teardrop-shaped cockpit is integrated into a body with notches and air ducts, which create aerodynamic channels through the entire vehicle. The characteristic ring-shaped tail light serves as both a visual icon and a huge air intake. Among other innovations, the car achieves a drag coefficient of 0.29, downforce of -1.2 and an aerodynamic efficiency index of 4.1, reaching new levels between low drag and high downforce for electric hypercars.
