The Supreme Court ruled inadmissible the petition with which the lawyers of Massimo Bossetti, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of 13-year-old Yara Gambirasio, asked to be allowed to analyse the findings of the investigation that led to the Mapello bricklayer's arrest ten years ago and subsequent convictions. Previous decisions had ruled that the findings could only be viewed, but Bossetti's lawyers, Claudio Salvagni and Paolo Camporini, who confirmed the inadmissibility decided by the Supreme Court, intended to subject them to new investigations.

"After reading the motivations to make a considered judgement, the first impression is that what happened is unbelievable to the point of making me doubt that justice exists. Power always wins'. This was said by Claudio Salvagni, one of Massimo Bossetti's lawyers, commenting on the Cassation Court's decision to declare inadmissible the defence's request to analyse the trial exhibits.
