Here are the favourite consumer brands of Italians

The names of the FMCG industry according to the Brand Footprint Europe Report compiled by YouGov Group's Consumer Panel Services GfK

Mulino Bianco, Kinder, Coca-Cola, San Benedetto and Barilla. These are the FMCG brands in the top five places in the Brand Footprint Europe Report ranking compiled by YouGov Group's Consumer Panel Services (CPS) GfK. The podium for the top three brands is confirmed this year, while San Benedetto gains one position, overtaking Barilla. Also growing in the top five are Kinder (+6.7%) and San Benedetto (+9%). Among the rising brands there is also Divella which gains two positions, Muller (+2) and in 13th place Mutti (+1). Nutella is in 16th place compared to 17th in the previous edition while the first part of the ranking is closed by 3 brands on the rise: Pepsi, Parmareggio, Estathe. Granarolo, in 6th place in the ranking, Galbani Santa Lucia (12), Bonduelle (15) confirm their position. In addition to Barilla, Aia (-1), Findus (-2 positions) and Sant'Anna is in 11th place, Rana in 14th, Zymil in 17th. That elaborated by CPS Gfk is a ranking that year after year reflects the trend of consumer purchasing choices, purchasing frequency and the reference universe of families. Excluded are private label products, in other words the private labels of large-scale retail chains.

In the second part of the ranking, from 21st to 50th place, there are several brands that lose consensus. We can start with Ace and Philadelfia, both slipping 2 places, Buitoni scores a -5, Rio Mare ranks 28th (-4) followed by Beretta (-1). Water and other beverages Levissima drops 3 places, Garnier one to 34th place while Bauli moves from 30th to 38th. In 42nd place is Nivea (-7), ahead of Cameo (-5). Peroni is in 46th place (-3), Dove is in 48th from 42nd with Paneangeli in 49th (-5).

...and those on the rise

Gaining positions are mainly food industry brands. In 24th place there is De Cecco (+3), in 27th place Milk (+8), Calvè (+2), Vipiteno milk, cheese and derivatives climb 5 positions to 33rd, Sottilette is in 35th (+1) while the best performance is by La Molisana which scores a dry +13 places to 36th. Also doing well is Moretti beer (+4), San Carlo crisps and snacks is in 43rd place (+5), ahead of Knorr (+1), Novi chocolate (+7) while the ranking is closed by Felce Azzurra, which climbs 6 positions.
