A glove for delicate robots

One of the problems of letting robots interact with the real world is the poor tactile response of robot arms. The force to be applied mostly has to be calculated in advance and this makes it difficult to handle fragile objects. This robot hand 'skin', on the other hand, provides an immediate and widespread pressure response on the robot fingers, opening up a new era for manipulation.
