Fare i conti con l’America di Trump

Local public transport is at risk in Rome next Tuesday, 9 December, due to the strike of Atac employees proclaimed by Sul - the workers' unitary union. The next day will be the turn of the national stop in the environmental hygiene sector - primarily waste management - in public and private companies for the protest proclaimed by Fp Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti and Fiadel.
And on Friday 12, there will be a general strike in the public and private sectors - including contracting and instrumental - proclaimed by the CGIL, which in some cases will be joined by other trade unions.
For the first protest, onthe 9th, buses, trams, trolleybuses, electric cars and metro trains run by Atac, the company that manages public transport in Rome, will stop from 8.30am to 5pm and from 8pm to the end of service.
On the occasion of the general strike proclaimed by the CGIL on 12 December to change 'an unjust Budget Law', demonstrations will be held in every region. In Tuscany it will be in Florence where CGIL general secretary Maurizio Landini will participate. The concentration will be in Piazza Santa Maria Novella at 9 a.m., procession and concluding rallies in Oltrarno, in Piazza del Carmine: before Landini, workers will speak from the stage. The abstention will last the entire working day for all public and private sectors, including contracting and instrumental ones.
In the sectors and branches required to comply with law no. 146/90, essential services will be guaranteed, in accordance with the sectoral regulations. For rail transport, the strike will take place from 00.01 on 12/12/2025 to 21.00 on 12/12/2025.
