"Sea Watch is a criminal organisation": posting the sentence on X is Elon Musk, who thus replies to the NGO that had attacked him today, claiming that "Musk threatens the Italian justice system".
"These judges need to go" (These judges need to go), Elon Musk had written on X commenting on a user's post reporting the news of the suspension of the validation of the detention of seven migrants decided by the immigration section of the Court of Rome, which also referred to the EU Court.
The good relations of the American tycoon, Donald Trump's campaign sponsor, with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni are well known. Just a few days ago, the Prime Minister herself - who wanted to be presented with the Atlantic Council's 'Global Citizen Award 2024' by the Atlantic Council - on the sidelines of the European Council, after informing about a friendly phone call with Musk, described him as 'an added value in this time, a person who has certainly done extraordinary things, important things', emphasising: 'I think he must and can be an interlocutor'.
Anm: Musk respects the judiciary
Musk's attack was answered by the secretary general of the National Association of Magistrates Salvatore Casciaro: 'The hope is that there will be greater institutional respect for the judiciary and jurisdiction. The invitation and the hope is that there will be more balance in communication as well'.
"We are shocked by this intervention by a very powerful foreign tycoon. It is no longer the independence of the judiciary that is at stake here, but the sovereignty of the Italian state. First of all, we should think about this kind of defence and then about the defence of the jurisdiction,' adds the vice-president of the ANM Alessandra Maddalena.
