Facilitating the matching of supply and demand for goods and services in the context of the organisation and holding of the 2027 Louis Vitton America's Cup sailing competitions in Naples. For this purpose, an online sales platform has been set up, on which requests will be published and on which companies in the area will be able to submit their offers. The 'Suppliers Portal of the Organisation and Teams of the America's Cup Naples 2027', on which 150 product sectors have been surveyed, according to the promoters will have to manage a turnover of around 500 million.
Private Platform
This morning an initial presentation (which may be followed by others) will be held at the headquarters of the Unione Industriali di Napoli, with the support of Confindustria Nautica, Strategic Marine Industry Advisory Partner of the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup. In addition to the hosts, Leslie Ryan, Event Director of the Louis Vuitton America's Cup, Mack Dalton, Commercial Director of the Louis Vuitton America's Cup, and Giacomo Vinci, ACE Engineering, will take part in the proceedings. Following this, the Portal should be accessible. It is already evident that the system has already been very successful, so much so that around 300 companies from the region joined the presentation. All those companies interested in collaborating with the private company ACE Italy S.r.l., responsible for the organisation of the 38th edition of the Louis Vuitton America's Cup, and with the private entities of the teams taking part in the competition, will be able to register on the portal.
It is worth pointing out that the portal acts in an exclusively private field and is not a platform for public tendering procedures. Any contract with public bodies will in fact have to follow public procedures. In the field of contracting between private individuals, the portal enables the creation of a confidential and reserved register of local companies, organised by sector of activity, which will be used exclusively by the private event organisers and teams to identify potential local suppliers. At the same time, it is made clear that this is the only official portal dedicated to local suppliers to the 38th America's Cup and that no other portal or website is authorised to use the "America's Cup" brand, nor to present itself as an official site or as being linked to the 38th America's Cup in Naples.
Interested local companies can fill in a registration form; the data provided, once verified, will be transmitted to the private event organisers and participating teams, enabling ACE Italy S.r.l. to contact local suppliers directly for possible private arrangements.
Approach march
The work starts from afar. The journey started at the 65th International Boat Show in Genoa, where the America's Cup 2027 was officially presented and where a partnership agreement was signed with Confindustria Nautica, which took on the role of Strategic Marine Industry Advisory Partner of the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup. A partnership agreement that entrusts it with the task of supporting the identification and involvement of strategic companies in the Italian marine industry chain, thus fostering the integration of national industrial expertise within the event ecosystem and the participating teams. Last June, an agreement was signed between Confindustria nautica and Unione Industriali di Napoli.
