An anti-Schlein in the coalition primaries: this is how the Pd reformists meditate on the backlash against the secretary

"If the electoral law were to be reformed, I would be for a law that is also good for the premierate, and therefore with the indication of the premier candidate on the ballot paper. The premierate will go ahead, that is why it is not worth making an electoral law and then making another one after the referendum on the premierate. Con un problema in più per un campo largo già in affanno: chi sarà il candidato premier della coalizione, il novello Prodi capace di d’accordo le varie anime e soprattutto i “grillini” con i dem? Dopo le sconfitte oltre le previsioni nelle Marche e in Calabria l’ipotesi di un congresso anticipato del Pd, accarezzata nei mesi scorsi dalla segretaria Elly Schlein per blindarsi alla guida del partito, sembra uscita di scena. E gli occhi sono ora tutti puntati sulle primarie di coalizione, necessarie a meno di un improbabile accordo a tavolino tra la stessa Schlein e il leader del M5s Giuseppe Conte su un nome terzo.

Ed è qui che si inserisce l’iniziativa, e la strategia, della minoranza riformista più agguerrita del Pd, ossia quel gruppetto di big (da Lorenzo Guerini a Graziano Delrio, da Sandra Zampa e Filippo Sensi, da Marianna Madia a Simona Malpezzi, da Giorgio Gori a Pina Picierno) che ha strappato con Energia popolare di Stefano Bonaccini giudicandola troppo schiacciata sulle posizioni della segretaria. Senza attendere le elezioni regionali in Veneto, Campania e Puglia di fine novembre, i riformisti doc cominceranno a contarsi già ad ottobre: il 24 a Milano sui temi economici con focus su ceto medio, professionisti, partite Iva e imprese - “classi” di riferimento del partito che fu, a loro avviso ora abbandonate da un Pd molto spostato a sinistra, sulle posizioni della Cgil di Maurizio Landini e dell’assistenzialismo targato M5s - e il 31 ottobre a Livorno, su iniziativa del think thank LibertàEguale di Enrico Morando, Giorgio Tonini e Stefano Ceccanti, sui temi della sicurezza e della difesa comune eur
