Article 1

In a faraway land, behind the Word Mountains, far from the lands of Vocalia and Consonantia, live the random texts. They live isolated in the town of Lettere, on the shores of Semantico, an immense linguistic ocean. A little stream called Devoto Oli runs through those places, supplying them with all the regolith they need. It is a paradisiacal land, a land of cuccagna in which tasty portions of roasted propositions fly into the mouths of those who desire them. Not once have random texts been dominated by the almighty Interpunction, a truly unspelling life. One day, however, it happened that the small line of a random text, named Lorem ipsum, decided to go and explore the vast Grammar. The great Oximox tried to dissuade her, as that place was teeming with ruthless commas, wild question marks and devious semicolons, but the random little text was certainly not misled. He gathered his seven capital letters, slid his initial into his belt, and set off. As he passed the first hills of the Corsivi mountains, he turned to look one last time at the skyline of Lettere, his town, the headline of the village Alphabet and the subline of his own street, the alley Riga. A rhetorical question ran wistfully down his cheek, then he set off again. Along the way he met a copyist who warned the small random text that where he came from it had been rewritten many times, and that all that remained of its original form was the conjunction 'and'. He urged the random little text to backtrack and return to the safe land from whence it came. However, no argument could persuade the little text and so it was not long before two wicked copywriters took advantage of him, got him drunk on longe and words and dragged him to their agency, where they abused him repeatedly for their own projects. And if he had not been rewritten, they would still exploit him.
