Assiom Forex, Cipollone will open proceedings on the role of central bank money

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor Plus) - The 30th annual Assiom Forex Congress will be held on 9 and 10 February 2024 at the Magazzini del Cotone in Genoa: this year the event returns to its traditional format, with speakers all in attendance, starting on the afternoon of Friday 9 February. At 3.00 p.m. there will be a welcome message from Massimo Mocio, President of Assiom Forex, which will be followed by the keynote speech "New technologies and financial modernisation: the role of central bank money" by Piero Cipollone, a member of the ECB Executive Board.

Saturday, 10 February will host, among other things, the first speech of the year addressed to financial operators by the newly appointed governor of the Bank of Italy, Fabio Panetta, who will speak at 11.30 am. "It will be a great honour for us to host representatives of the institutions as well as experts from the economy, academia, industry and the banking sector to discuss competitiveness and growth, at a time of great challenge for our country, and to deepen our understanding of financial innovation and the outlook for the markets," stressed Massimo Mocio, president of Assiom Forex.
