Ti sposo ma non troppo' debuts at the Sistina theatre in Rome on 4 February, a love story that mirrors contemporary relationships. And between lightness and depth it tells the complexities of the human heart.
The protagonists are four people who, having passed the age of forty, find themselves navigating troubled sentimental waters, in an era when nothing is guaranteed anymore. Andrea (Vanessa Incontrada) is a woman in love and a devoted mother, devastated by her husband's betrayal. Luca (Gabriele Pignotta), a divorced physiotherapist, juggles his love for his daughter and the illusions of dating apps. Carlotta and Andrea (Siddhartha Prestinari and Fabio Avaro), married for 15 years, face a marriage crisis that challenges everything they thought they knew about love.
In a brilliant and surprising plot, the lives of the four collide and transform. Emotions intertwine, existential crises, laughter and hilarious gaffes give way to moments of illuminating truth. While everything seems to precipitate towards an inevitable showdown, the desire to love and feel alive makes its way strongly, even when it seemed impossible. There are many open questions: have we really become unfit to build stable relationships? Or is it love that requires a personal evolution that we do not have the courage - or the time - to face? The play arrives on the stage of the Sistina after the great cinematic success of 2014, The dress is completely renewed, current and full of emotions.
