Audi's first electric saloon, the A6 e-tron, already known as a station wagon, aka Variant, is part of the Sportback line-up that incorporates ten models and that in Italy has the lion's share of sales. With an appearance that almost mirrors those of the variants that have engines with electrified pistons under the bonnet, it contrasts in particular with the BMW i5 and Mercedes Eqe.

The A6 Sportback e-tron range is based on the Ppe architecture that Audi has developed with Porsche for full-electric models, which is the same architecture on which the two variants of the Q6 also rest. However, it should not be understood as simply a saloon interpretation of the SUV. Certainly, there are many points of contact. Namely, skateboards, high-density battery sizes, 800V electric platforms and E3 1.2 electronics with all that the integration with Android Automotive OS brings in the way of digitisation, intuitive man-machine interaction thanks to ChatGPT support and the intelligent voice assistant with self-learning function that allows you to control various functions of the car. Then, the A6 e-tron family goes its own way with higher-powered powertrains, while also offering two rear-wheel-drive versions and the same number of four-wheel-drive versions, but coming in with the best mileage of all the e-trons thanks to its good aerodynamic profiling, which translates into a Cd of 0.21 that is the best ever for a road-going Audi.
The range is divided into the single-engine e-tron 'and that's it' version with 326 hp powered by a 75.8 kWh net battery, and the long range Perfomance variant with 381 hp and 94.9 kWh battery, which becomes standard for the two twin-engine proposals with four-electric all-wheel drive: the e-tron with 462 hp and the S6 with 551 hp. The autonomies of these e-trons range from 627 to 756 kilometres promised by Performance. Recharging can be done either with alternating current at 11 kW or direct current at up to 270 kW, with which a 10 to 80 per cent recharge can be done in 20 minutes and a range of 310 kilometres can be recovered in 10 minutes.
