Audi Q3 e-hybrid, the test of the plug-in hybrid suv with almost 120 km of electric self-drive: what it looks like and how it goes
The rechargeable technology has been optimised compared to the previous generation, enabling a range of approximately 120 km in rechargeable mode
Audi's electrified range welcomes the new Q3 e-hybrid, the version equipped with next-generation plug-in hybrid technology that is already available at a list price of around 50,000 euros.
Dimensions and Style
Compared to the petrol version we have already tested, the Q3 e-hybrid is recognisable aesthetically by the badges on the bodywork but also by the presence of the double door, one dedicated to recharging the battery and the other for refuelling.
At 4.53 metres, the Audi Q3 e-hybrid manoeuvres well in an urban context but is also comfortable enough for long journeys. The load capacity of 375 litres, expandable to 1,293 litres, distinguishes this model as one of the most generous in the segment.
The features of Q3's e-hybrid system
At the heart of the Q3's e-hybrid technology is the 1.5-litre TFSI petrol engine combined with an electric powertrain located within the 6-speed S Tronic transmission and fed by a 27.5 kWh battery which, thanks to the evolution of cell chemistry, allows a maximum electric range of 119 declared kilometres. Overall power is 272 hp and maximum torque 400 Nm.
Despite its 1,825 kg weight, the Q3 e-hybrid is able to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 215 km/h, 140 km/h in 100 per cent electric mode.
