Basilicata, 2014-2020 accounts closed with 100% of expenditure

For 2021-2027 programming, expenditure is still negligible

The latest April reports of the 2014-2020 ERDF and ESF programming confirm Basilicata's good spending performance. The total budget is 840.31 million euro (Po Fesr 550.69 million and Po Fse 289.62 million), of which 557.83 million euro of EU contribution. On the Por Fesr 2014/2020, 100% of the allocated resources (550.69 million) have been spent by 31 December 2023 (final deadline for expenditure by the beneficiaries), although the reporting and control activities are ongoing. As of 30 April 2024, in fact, the Basilicata Region has reported to the MEF expenditure for EUR 525.98 million (equal to 95.5%). The reporting activities will be completed in the coming months.

On the Por Fse 2014/2020, by 31 December 2023, 88.63% (196.33 million) of the endowment of the remodelled programme (221.85 million) has been spent.
The Basilicata Region ESF 2021-2027 Programme, on the other hand, is in its early stages, with an endowment of 983.04 million (of which 688.13 of EU contribution) divided between ESF 774.54 million and ESF+ 208.51 million. As of 29 February 2024, the reported expenditure was derisory: 0.47% for the ERDF and 0.24 for the ESF. Single and multi-fund, it supports the socio-economic system by reducing inequalities.
