(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The stock of the Bolloré family's French holding company is soaring on the Paris Stock Exchange (CAC 40 ) after the announcement of an extraordinary dividend. The company - which presented its 2025 results on Tuesday - proposed the distribution of an ordinary dividend of 8 euro cents per share (including 0.02 euro interim dividend already paid in September 2025), in line with that paid in 2024. In addition, the group has put an extra coupon of EUR 1.5 per share on the table, totalling around EUR 4.2 billion.
This decision was taken by the board 'in agreement with its majority shareholder Compagnie de l'Odet', the French group explained, considering the lack of significant reinvestment after the sale (between 2022 and 2024) of Bolloré Africa Logistics and Bolloré Logistics for a total amount of around EUR10 billion. The extra dividend will be taken from undistributed profits from previous years, derived from gains realised after the divestments, the group added.
Both proposals will have to be approved by the annual shareholders' meeting scheduled for 27 May. For its part, Compagnie de l'Odet, which holds 71% of Bolloré's capital, intends to distribute an extraordinary interim dividend in the second half of the year. As for the 2025 budget, revenues dropped by 7% to EUR 2.93 billion and net profit fell to EUR 348 million from EUR 1.82 billion in 2024.
