As stated by more than one person, the tools present (thrown) into the canal in Tromello, a few kilometres from Garlasco. were allegedly handed over to the Carabinieri by a new super-witness. This is what was claimed in Ore 14 sera, broadcast on Rai2 on 26 June 2025, concerning the murder of Chiara Poggi, which took place on 13 August 2007.
Last May, investigators dredged the irrigation ditch. According to Ore 14 sera, the tools were not found in the bed of the irrigation ditch, but were handed over to the Carabinieri. There would therefore be a new super-witness who could shed light on Chiara Poggi's death.
On weapons in the Tromello canal so far no useful findings
The hunt for the weapon with which Chiara Poggi was murdered - hammer, poker, mallet or ice axe - had seen the best forces in the search in the Tromello Canal.
The analysis of the findings found on 15 May 2025 on the muddy bottom of the canal that runs through the Lomellina region has yet to begin, Adnkronos learns. The search had been triggered on the basis of a witness statement, and the fire brigade operations had concentrated - on the instructions of the Carabinieri of the Milan investigative unit - on a stretch of about 300 metres where a number of objects had been fished out, including a mason's mallet that was not compatible with the dovetail hammer missing from the Poggi house.
