Carola Rackete resigns from the European Parliament

Carola Rackete, the activist who challenged the yellow-green government on migration, announced her resignation as MEP. "My candidacy and mandate have always been aimed at contributing to the renewal of the party Die Linke, a process that is proceeding successfully. As someone who is active in social movements, my team and I discussed from the beginning to define the mandate collectively and this collective spirit is now being realised with my resignation,' the German wrote in a note.
