Cassa geometri approves the 2025 budget, which closes with assets of 3.046 billion and an economic surplus of 153.2 million, up 16.1% from 131.9 million in 2024.

The pension payments amounted to 244.4 million, with contribution receipts amounting to 844.4 million (+4.1% compared to the previous year) against 599.2 million in pension payments. The value of production increased by 4.7% year-on-year to EUR 896.9m, while the ratio of net assets to pension expenses was 5.19. The financial management, which recorded net income of EUR 62.4 million, was up 30.8% year-on-year.

"The final balance sheet for 2025 confirms the solidity of the Cassa and its ability to face with balance a complex economic context, marked by macroeconomic uncertainties and the progressive ageing of the membership," comments the president of Cassa Geometri, Diego Buono. "But sustainability alone is not enough," continues Buono, who adds: "Thanks to the recent reform approved by the supervising ministries, which has increased both the contribution rate and the retrocession of the supplementary pension, we have intervened to guarantee the adequacy of pension benefits.

Thanks to these interventions, against an average income of the category equal to 40,000 euros and a turnover of 55,000 euros, with a contribution rate of 22% and the retrocession of 60% of the supplementary contribution, a surveyor will be able to benefit from a pension cheque of 23,500 euros, equal to a replacement rate of 59%. "Before the reform," Buono explains, "the pension cheque stood at EUR 18,500, with a replacement rate of 46 per cent, so a lower benefit of about 22 per cent and a replacement rate 13 percentage points lower.
