Cdm resolves to appoint Geronimo La Russa as ACI president
First son of Senate President Ignazio, he was elected 19th president of the Automobile Club d'Italia in July 2025 for the four-year period 2025-2028
The Council of Ministers, 'on the proposal of President Giorgia Meloni, in agreement with the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi and the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, pursuant to Law no. 14 of 24 January 1978, having regard to the favourable opinions expressed by the competent parliamentary commissions, has resolved to appoint Mr Antonino Geronimo La Russa as president of the Automobile Club of Italy'. In July elected with over 78% of the vote
Firstborn son of Senate President Ignazio, he was elected the 19th president of the Automobile Club d'Italia in July 2025 for the four-year period 2025-2028. On that occasion, the motorists' association once again chose its leadership through the ballot box with a larger majority than the last time, when more candidates competed in 2012: La Russa obtained, in fact, more than 78% of the 2,112 votes representing the total number of eligible voters.

Born in Milan on 2 April 1980, he has two brothers: Lorenzo Kocis and Leonardo Apache. A lawyer, La Russa is married and the father of two daughters. A lawyer, in 2008 he picked up the baton from his father in the management of Studio Legale La Russa, founded by his grandfather in 1938, where he has chosen to focus mainly on commercial, corporate and sports law. He is president of the Automobile Club of Milan and has previously held the position of vice-president. He is one of the founders of Aci storico and a great lover of engines and sports racing. In December 2025, he was elected a member of the World Council for Motor Sport of the FIA (International Automobile Federation).
