Definite green light from the Chamber of Deputies to the Red Cross reform bill: here are the changes
Dentists, veterinarians, biologists, physicists, chemists and psychologists are the new categories that will join the senior staff of the volunteer military corps
Key points
Supplement the public interest activities carried out by the Italian Red Cross and revise the provisions of the Armed Forces Auxiliary Corps.
These are just some of the points contained in the Red Cross bill presented by Minister of Defence Crosetto and Minister of Health Schillaci, now definitively approved by the Chamber of Deputies with 156 votes in favour and 112 abstentions.
Among the novelties, professions such as veterinary medicine and dentistry will be able to be considered for voluntary work, while the chapter on the Foundation whose earnings will be devolved will be definitively closed. Finally, the government will be given new delegations.
The Way of the Law
Introduced on 3 December 2024 and approved on 28 May 2025 with 83 votes in favour and 52 abstentions, the bill concluded its parliamentary procedure today, receiving the final OK from the House.
