Cibus Parma 2027 is set to be fully booked: 3,000 brands and 3,550 buyers from 80 countries are expected
Fiere di Parma at SIAL in Paris: 90 per cent of the exhibition space has already been sold, with all leading companies and PDO and PGI consortia confirmed; coffee, bakery and confectionery, and the out-of-home sector are among the key themes of the upcoming edition
Seven months before the event opens, Cibus 2027 is sold out. 92 per cent of the available exhibition space has already been allocated, and all the major exhibitors have confirmed they will be returning to Parma from 4 to 6 May 2027.
Some 3,000 brands and 3,500 buyers from 80 countries are expected to attend, with a special focus on South Korea. Fiere di Parma presented the highlights of the next edition of Cibus in Paris during “The Italian Aperitivo”, the travelling event held at the headquarters of the Automobile Club de France.
The initiative, organised in collaboration with Anuga Cologne (Koelnmesse) and the Parmigiano Reggiano PDO Consortium, brought together 300 guests, half of whom were leading international buyers.
The event is based on a clear identity: that of being the home of ‘Made in Italy’ agri-food products. Eighteen regions and over 50 organisations, including PDO, PGI and TSG consortia, are expected to attend.
“Italia is strengthening its central role in the international food industry because it can rely on a combination that is difficult to replicate: a strong agri-food supply chain, distinctive production regions and two platforms – Cibus and Tuttofood – capable of transforming this industrial base into market relationships and international appeal. Competition no longer takes place solely between individual events, but between trade fair systems that are increasingly becoming market infrastructures,” said Antonio Cellie, chief executive of Fiere di Parma.
Alongside the sectors that have historically defined its range – from cheeses and dairy products to meat and cured meats, from frozen and fresh produce to drinks, right through to confectionery, baked goods and regional specialities – the next edition will strengthen its ties with the Horeca sector. The main focus will be on commercial catering chains and the world of onboard catering, with particular emphasis on the airline and cruise catering sectors.
“Specialty Selection” will bring together a selection of outstanding Italian micro-producers catering to specialist retailers and high-end hospitality establishments, whilst “Bellavita Expo” will bring its international expertise in promoting premium Italian products on foreign markets to the trade fair.
