The Concorso d'Eleganza of Villa d'Este in Cernobbio in the exclusive setting of Lake Como, one of the most prestigious classic car events in the world, got underway. The winner of the Coppa d'Oro was the McLaren F1 with a 6-litre 12-cylinder BMW engine. It is a 1995 supercar owned by Englishman Tony Vassilopulos;
The car was designed by Gordon Murray
.The special feature of this beautiful car is that it has three seats on board with the driver's seat in the middle. The car was designed by engineer Gordon Murray, who designed several formula 1 cars for both Brabham and McLaren during the 1980s. A total of 106 examples were produced, 28 of them with racing DNA;
The top speed of 384 kmh is record-breaking
.The car awarded the Coppa d'Oro, however, has its own unique feature that sets it apart from all others produced: with a top speed of 384 km/h, in fact, the McLaren F1 is still the fastest production car ever produced thanks to its naturally aspirated engine. This justified the prize that was awarded by the jury of the Concorso di Villa d'Este.
