The General Council of Confindustria, at the proposal of President-designate Emanuele Orsini, today approved the presidential team for the four-year period 2024-2028 with 84% of the vote. Out of 132 members present, 110 voted in favour, there were 9 against and 13 blank ballots. On 23 May, the president-designate will go to the assembly vote to be elected leader of the industrialists.
Orsini: 'Competent team built and close to the world of associations'
"I listened to 186 people for the formalisation of the team independently and so we managed to build a team by competence, but above all, as I said today, a team that is close to the world of association'. Thus Orsini at the end of the General Council meeting that launched the presidential team for the four-year period 2024-2028. A team, he added, 'that knows how to work together because today we need to work together and so for me this was the priority and with good skills I obviously believe that we will be close to our companies to develop the future of the country's growth'.
"By team definition used dialogue, unity, identity"
."It was a festive day for Confindustria," continued Orsini, "because obviously the team was very successful on the General Council side. We tried, as we stated in the presentation of the programme, to use three key words, which were dialogue, unity, identity'. "We have obviously tried to recompose all the souls of Confindustria in a free way," Orsini added, "looking for competences and the thing we have promised ourselves is that, every three months, we will evaluate the programme, what we have done, and then we will certainly keep it at the centre to give the answer to our associates, because what we have to do today is to respond, to be close to our companies.
Garrone: 'Deep renewal with Orsini team'
"Emanuele Orsini has presented a team of broad representation, free from any conditioning and indicative of a profound renewal, as I had hoped for by taking a step back from competing for the presidency," is the comment of Edoardo Garrone . "The broad consensus gathered with today's vote underlines the entrepreneurs' desire for Confindustria to proceed in this direction. I wish Emanuele and his team all the best for a fruitful work, for the good of our companies and for the country'.
Ten Elective Vice Presidents
.Ten elected Vice Presidents will flank Orsini, three of whom are confirmed: Francesco De Santis, who will continue his commitment on Research and Development; Maurizio Marchesini who, after overseeing Supply Chains and Medium-sized Enterprises, will have the delegation on Labour and Industrial Relations; and Stefan Pan, who will continue the work carried out in Europe over the past four years as the President's Delegate, with the vice presidency for the European Union and the Relationship with European Confindustries. The other elected members of the presidency team are: Lucia Aleotti, to whom the vice-presidency for the Study Centre, a crucial junction in the definition of economic policy strategies, will go; Angelo Camilli, to whom Orsini will pass the baton on Credit, Finance and Taxation; Barbara Cimmino who will follow Export and Investment Attraction. Vincenzo Marinese will be in charge of Organisation and Relations with territories and categories, while Natale Mazzuca will be in charge of Strategic Policies and Development in the South. Marco Nocivelli will be given the new delegation on Industrial Policies and Made in Italy, while Lara Ponti will be in charge of Environmental Transition and ESG objectives, central topics on the Confindustria agenda.
