The already tragic death toll in Crans-Montana increases. The forty-first victim was announced by the Swiss public prosecutor's office, which is investigating last New Year's Eve massacre caused by a fire in the 'Le Constellation' nightclub.
The victim is an 18-year-old
He was 'an 18-year-old Swiss citizen', according to a note from the prosecutor of the canton of Valais, Beatrice Pilloud. The death occurred in hospital, in Zurich, on Saturday 31 January. "No further information will be released at this stage of the investigation," reads the statement, which specifies that 115 people were injured.
The Rome prosecutors are also at work
Investigations that, as of a few hours ago, will also involve the prosecutors of the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office. Switzerland, in fact, has accepted Italy's request to assist in the case and therefore the prosecutors will have access to the evidence already collected and will be able to work with their Swiss colleagues to shed light on the New Year's Eve fire. The first technical meeting between prosecutors' offices will take place on 19 February.
